James Montgomery, Director of Racquet Sports & Fitness, Personal Trainer
As Director, James pulls from his extensive background in physical therapy, sport-specific fitness, and tennis coaching and instruction to develop the programming for Fox Den’s Racquet and Fitness departments. As a Certified Tennis Professional and Personal Trainer, James enjoys helping you set and reach your personal goals. He appreciates being a part of the everyday struggles and victories that bring your objectives closer. James has been playing tennis since 2006 and teaching/coaching since 2008. James obtained his master’s degree in Physical Education and Sports Administration from Eastern Kentucky University, close to his hometown of London. James partners with clients of all ages and welcomes a diverse group of individuals to his programs. When not on the tennis court or in the gym, James enjoys training jiu jitsu, wrestling, disc golf, yoga, fishing, and other outdoor activities.

Mary Montgomery, Group Fitness Instructor & Health Coach
Mary is a Certified Group Fitness Instructor, POUND Pro, and Health Coach that started her health support journey in 2006 in her hometown of Woodburn, Oregon. She believes that learning to love ourselves and spend time and effort on our health and fitness is essential to a happy life. With an extensive background in primary medical care and women's health, Mary helps clients work towards their health and wellness goals. Mary moved to Tennessee in 2016 after meeting her husband, James. She has been teaching Group Fitness since 2019 and is excited to help expand the health and wellness offerings at Fox Den Country Club.
Mary also provides reception and administrative support at Fox Den's main clubhouse and oversees operations at our seasonal pool.
When not at the gym or the main clubhouse, Mary enjoys reading, knitting, crafting, dancing, fishing, disc golf, and spending time with her husband and 2 fuzzy family members: Cacao (golden retriever-black lab mix) and Pepe Le Pew Pew (tuxedo kitty).
