Danny Ackerman, PGA, Head Golf Professional

Danny grew up in Central Illinois where he was a Golf Professional at three different private clubs. Danny was the 1st Assistant Professional at Mt. Hawley Country Club in Peoria, IL for four seasons before coming to Fox Den in 2014. Danny played two seasons at Illinois Central College. His accomplishments there included two individual medalists and All-Conference honors for both seasons. He completed a degree in Business Marketing at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL in 2005 and completed the PGA/PGM program and received his PGA membership in 2012. Danny received the 2015 Assistant Golf Professional of the Year for the Tennessee PGA Section. Danny credits his passion for the game and enjoyment of working with others as the key factors of his being a Golf Professional.

Wallace Hamerton, Golf Professional, LPGA

Wallace grew up playing golf with her family in Massachusetts. She is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, where she played on the lacrosse and field hockey teams. Her amateur golf playing records includes competing in 9 USGA National Championships, 13 State Tournament wins, and Runner-up in the Arizona Women's State Amateur. She is a Class A member of the LPGA.

Wallace joined the Fox Den family in 2018 after 12 years at Belfair Plantation in SC, where she served as full-time Teaching Professional. She has worked with Top 100 Instructors Carl Lohren, Mike Molaska, Mike Shannon, Jim Hardy, Janet Caponni LaPera, and Krista Dunton. Her instructional core comes from observing 500-plus hours of instruction from Carl Lohren. She has taught over 10,000 lessons. She runs the junior and new lady golf development programs at Fox Den. She is a Titleist Performance Institute Level One Instructor, Certified US Kids Golf Instructor, and Certified "Operation 36 Golf" Instructor. She is tremendously excited to be a part of the Fox Den golf operation team and serving members in all capacities.

Jake Reeves, Director of Instruction

Jake has an impressive background in the Golf Industry and has produced many tour players and PGA Professionals such as Gareth Maybin, Dave Picket, Peter Malnati (Knoxville Open Winner), Wes Short, Allie Knight, and numerous college players. He was a proud 4-year letterman at the University of Tennessee where he was a member of a winning SEC Championship team! He was also a Golfweek ALL-AMERICAN in his senior season. Jake had a 15 year playing career where he participated in the 2000 U.S Open and was a 2 year member of the Web.com Tour. He joined Fox Den in February 2019.

 Jake teaches at least 1,000 lessons annually, is dedicated to growing the game, and continuously finds new ways to advance players' techniques.

He is a two-time Tennessee PGA Section Teacher of the Year (2016 & 2019).

Bill Warren, Golf Shop Manager

Bill grew up in Bath, New York where he played golf at Corning Community College. He finished his education at the University of Tennessee which started his love for our beloved VOLS! Bill was a middle school teacher for 40 years and a high school Golf Coach for 15. During his time coaching the Halls High School Golf Team, he led them to 2 Tennessee State championships. Bill has been with Fox Den since Spring of 2019 and loves being around our amazing members, Fox Den staff, and the game of golf!

Andrew_Ft  Andrew Thimjon, Assistant Golf Professional

Andrew grew up in Hillsboro, Oregon and after he graduated High School, he decided to pursue his dream of playing college golf. Andrew played for a school in Denver, Colorado and Charlotte, North Carolina before transferring to Maryville College. There he would finish my last two years playing golf and graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. One of his proudest accomplishments was writing a 44 page thesis in his senior year where he studied the golf industry and developed a marketing plan for TaylorMade to compete with Titleist specifically. 

 
Andrew has been working in the golf industry since he finished high school. He worked in Outside Services at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Course throughout college (3 years). He enrolled in the PGM Program online in the Fall of 2023 and is very excited to continue learning and improving the game of golf.
